Adidas Israel operated with zero visibility into their supply chain's environmental impact. The fragmented network of third-party providers created communication silos, making it impossible to identify improvement opportunities or implement sustainable solutions effectively.
We conducted literature review, stakeholder interviews, and comprehensive supply chain mapping. Research discovered that the core issue was systemic lack of awareness—no stakeholder understood the complete end-to-end environmental impact or owned accountability for sustainable practices.
We also found that the best way to encourage sustainable practices was to engage the company's employees by providing them with greater visibility and tools to take action. We realized the necessity of giving decision-makers with tools to increase their awareness and empower them to make informed decisions.
We identified three key personas across the port-to-retail journey:
The Shareholders: Need sustainability performance metrics and efficiency data
Executives: Require decision-making tools and cross-team collaboration capabilities
Store Manager: Want inventory control and improved organizational communication
The solution we designed aimed at providing as much clarity and visibility around the supply chain status across its different stages. We designed a data visualization tool that would allow data transparency as well as actionable insights that would allow different stakeholders to communicate to achieve their shared goal: more profit in less effort. Main features included:
Main Dashboard: Macro-level analytics and real-time tracking of all merchandise in stores and transit.
Store Detailed View: Granular performance insights with anomaly detection and drill-down capabilities
Actionable insights: Integrated collaboration tools that automatically create communication huddles when intervention opportunities are identified
